My Story

Jayme Womack is a distinguished attorney and policy expert, currently serving as the Principal Attorney of The Womack Law Firm. With a career rooted in advocacy and a deep commitment to civil rights and social justice, Womack brings a wealth of experience to her practice, offering legal and consulting services with a focus on fairness and equity.

 

Womack’s journey began in Louisiana, where she cultivated her academic foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University, followed by a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. Her education laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to advocating for marginalized communities and upholding the principles of justice.

 

Her professional trajectory started in Louisiana, where she held various legal and policy roles at prominent social justice organizations. Womack’s impactful work included significant tenures at the Louisiana Center for Health Equity and the ACLU of Mississippi. These roles allowed her to champion health equity and civil liberties, reinforcing her dedication to serving vulnerable populations.

 

Womack joined the ACLU of Arkansas as its first Policy Director, and led the organization’s policy program, working with elected officials, partner organizations, and stakeholders to advocate for civil rights at both state and local levels.

 

Following her tenure at the ACLU, Womack continued her advocacy as a disabilities rights advocate with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) and the Arkansas Department of Health. These roles further underscored her commitment to protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities and promoting public health policies that are inclusive and equitable.

 

With the founding of The Womack Law Firm, Jayme Womack combines her extensive legal expertise and unwavering dedication to social justice. Her firm provides comprehensive legal and consulting services, emphasizing civil rights, health equity, estate planning, and disability rights. Jayme Womack is Licensed to practice law in Arkansas and is  an active member of the Arkansas Bar Association.
