Dr. Keneshia Bryant-Moore

My Story
Dr. Keneshia Bryant-Moore is a tenured Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health. Presently, she serves as the Director of the Community Engagement and Dissemination Core of the Arkansas Center for Health Disparities (ARCHD) and Associate Director of the Community Engagement Core of the UAMS Translational Research Institute (TRI). She is also the owner of Mariposa's Place of Wellness located near Hot Springs Village.
Dr. Bryant-Moore’s research primarily focuses on health disparities and inequities experienced by minority racial/ethnic groups, rural, and vulnerable populations. Over the past decade, her research has been in collaboration primarily with the faith community in Arkansas, which has led to the development of faith-based health interventions, programs, and other research endeavors. She led the development of the Faith-Academic Initiative for Transforming Health (FAITH) Network in 2016. As part of this network faith leaders are educated on the basic principles of research, health related issues, and given the opportunity to partner in research and program efforts.
Dr. Bryant-Moore received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint; her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University; and her PhD in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University. She is currently pursuing a master's in divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Bryant-Moore is a member of Second Baptist Church - Downtown Little Rock, the mother of four daughters, she enjoys traveling, dancing, singing, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
