My Story

Mary Lesa Walker possesses 20-plus years extensive experience in community outreach while balancing quality care with strategic priorities. Her professional experience includes roles as a quality specialist in the healthcare quality improvement industry, where she acquired extensive knowledge in local, state, and federal resource programs, policies, and procedures.

Lesa is currently employed by the City of Little Rock as a resource specialist where she identifies and fosters community connections to help meet the needs of vulnerable and at-risk families.  In this role, she conducts ongoing, extensive community assessments, links families to appropriate community resources, as well as facilitates neighborhood support training. Lesa holds an Associate of Science in Health Sciences and Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a Certified Diabetes Curriculum Educator. In her spare times she enjoys shopping and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.
